Top 3 counties sell three times fewer cars than Bucharest

The top three counties in terms of the number of cars registered (Constanta, Arges and Brasov) sold 35,477 cars in the first ten months of the year, i.e. a third of the 88,188 cars sold during the same time in Bucharest. The three counties accounted for 13.7% of the nationwide car sales in the January-October period, while the capital accounted for over 34% of sales, according to the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association. The best-selling brand, in Bucharest and in the three counties, in October, was Dacia, with 2,519 orders being recorded for the Logan model in Bucharest and a total of 1,107 orders in Constanta, Arges and Brasov county. In October, car dealers in Bucharest sold 10,053 units, which accounted for more than a third of the 29,347 units sold nationwide. The number of cars sold in October increased by 10% against the same time last year, when a little over 19,000 cars were registered.
