Microsoft Romania: We expect 6% growth this year
Microsoft Romania, the local subsidiary of the world's biggest software producer, expects business growth of 6% for the 2011 fiscal year that started on July 1st, double as much as that recorded in the previous year, said Călin Tatomir, the company's general manager.
"We managed to grow despite the economy not showing signs of
recovery, and despite the 40% decline of the Romanian PC market,"
Tatomir said.
He added that all the company's divisions posted similar increases,
with the biggest rise being recorded by the Microsoft Dynamics ERP
(Enterprise Resource Planning) solution and the CRM (Customer
Relationship Management) solution, whose revenues tripled against
last year. Sales of IT security products rose by 75%. "Sales of IT
security products confirmed for the third consecutive year that
they are a major growth driver for Microsoft's business, with the
trend recorded in previous years resulting in a 500% growth over
the past three years," said the company's official.
