Domestic companies have been reluctant to participate in
surveys analysing employee motivation and involvement over the past
year, according to the latest edition of Best Employers 2010
survey, drawn up by Aon Hewitt HR consultancy.
Thus, whilst last year 50 companies that jointly had almost
13,000 employees participated in the survey, this year only 24
companies, with a little above 6,400 employees, participated.
"Part of the companies refused to participate this year,
saying it is not the right time for such a survey in Romania," said
Svetla Simidchieva, a managing partner with Monday Insight, the
partner of Aon Hewitt for Romania and Bulgaria, in an event
organised together with Ziarul Financiar.
GlaxoSmithKline, McDonald's, Astra Zeneca, Carpatcement and
Henkel are 2010's best employers in the category of large
companies, with over 250 employees and turnover of above 50m euros.
The ranking of small and medium-sized companies considered this
year's best employers includes Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii,
Syngenta, Adobe Romania, Avangate and Hilti.
