Amway no longer expects 50% yearly increases

25.05.2007, 19:05 9

Direct sales company Amway Marketing Romania, estimates a 20-30% turnover increase for this year, which would bring the company's business to around 37 million euros, with a business growth rate of half that seen in the last three years. Amway Marketing Romania, which sells cosmetic products, food additives, and household care products, has posted monthly sales of 3 to 4 million dollars (2.2 to 3 million euros), up 20-30% on the same period last year. "I don't think we will see a 50% increase in turnover this year, because we have already reached a size at which such a rate of growth is not possible any more. If we look at the trend of the first few months of this year, I estimate we will see an increase in turnover between 20-30% this year," stated George Popescu, branch manager of Amway Marketing Romania. The turnover in 2006 stood at 30 million euros, with Amway witnessing an over 50% turnover growth for a third consecutive year, and a double-digit growth for the fifth consecutive year.
