Another Bucharest plant up for sale: Munplast

04.09.2008, 20:06 16

The assets and the 23,500 square-metre plot of a plastic products plant owned by Munplast, located in the Bucharest district of Drumul Taberei, has been put up for sale, with the company's operations to be relocated to the outskirts of the capital, near the route to the city of Alexandria. "We have transferred the real estate assets to a new firm, which has been put up for sale via BAC Investment, which is in charge of the whole offer selection process. The firm's operations will be relocated to a plot on the outskirts of Bucharest, near the route to Alexandria," Marcel Diaconu, chairman of the Board of Directors and one of the major shareholders, told ZF. Given the most recent transactions in this part of the city, such as the sale of the plot accommodating Siderma textile plant, a transaction could amount to around 30 million euros, i.e. 1,400 euros/square metre. The plant's majority stake, around 80% of the shares, is held by Marcel Diaconu, Alexandru Podiuc, Viorel Panaitescu, Cezar Coraci and Marius Ionescu, who could each collect several million euros from a potential transaction.
