Doka Romania, the local branch of the Austrian formwork producer Doka, one of the leading players on the Romanian market, has this year reached a 16 million-euro turnover, double the level seen last year, due to investments conducted on the real estate market. "In each of the last two years, we have seen a doubling of our turnover, amid an increase in our number of clients to 450. Additionally, we have noticed that the share held by formwork sales in our turnover has increased, while formwork rental has gone down. In 2006, sales accounted for 41% of Doka's turnover, went up to 51% in 2007 and we expect a 50% share in 2008," said Bogdana Dumitru, in charge of the marketing department of Doka Romania. The booming real estate market has led to a surge of the formwork market, to around 40 million euros in 2007, an approximately 30% increase against last year, with the growth expected to be heavily stimulated by infrastructure works, as well.
