Eximtur posts 14m-euro sales in July and August

Eximtur, one of the leading tour operators on the local market, posted 33 million-euro turnover in the first 8 months of the year, whilst this year's forecast points to 45 million-euro turnover, up 29% against 2007 and above the initially budgeted turnover of 41 million euros. "Considering the revenues derived in the summer, we believe we will post 45 million euros in overall sales, up by around 29% against last year, when we derived 35 million euros in overall sales," Dorel Muresan, marketing manager with Eximtur, told ZF Transilvania. July and August brought overall sales worth 14 million euros to the Cluj-based company, after it registered a 19 million-euro turnover in the first half of the year, up 25% against the same time in 2007. The company management announced that in the first 8 months of this year, it had provided travel services to around 75,000 people, with 120,000 clients estimated for 2008 as a whole.
