Sales of PCfun.ro, one of the largest local online stores of IT&C and electronic products doubled sales in the first half of the year and reached 4m dollars. "Amid the rather slow start of the e-commerce sector in 2008, with most players revising their original targets, our first-half results give us reason to be optimistic about reaching our 15m-dollar full-year target, for the two stores, PCfun and Electrofun. The number of orders doubled in H1, on last year, which is mainly due to a slight price decline, amid fluctuations of the euro exchange rate", according to company officials. Marius Ghenea, founder of PCfun, will invest up to 2m dollars over the coming 12 months, which will go into promotion for both PCfun and ElectroFun products & services, as well as into boosting the company's personnel.
