The first employees of the biggest Romanian company are alreadyworking in their new offices in Petrom City located in the northernarea of Bucharest, in Straulesti. Though the project was delayed bymore than half a year from the initially announced deadline, worksto erect the five buildings that make up Petrom complex are intheir final stages. 4,000 people employed by 150 companies haveworked on Petrom City for two years, the project that willaccommodate more than 2,500 company employees of Bucharest andPloiesti. "When we become operational, around 2,500 people withthousands of needs will be coming at once in a once empty location.This will inevitably lead to the development of the area throughthe emergence of some businesses meant to satisfy these needs:restaurants, stores, services and others," says August Badescu,Petrom representative in charge with Petrom City project.
