Rondocarton, based in Cluj county, a part of Austrian group Rondo Ganahl, has invested 38 million euros in building a corrugated cardboard plant on an around 16,000 square-metre area in Targoviste, according to the company's general manager, Teofil Campean. The company also has a production facility in Cluj, from which it derived 30 million-euro revenues from production of around 39,000 tonnes of corrugated cardboard. "The Targoviste plant will start production in October, but will not be operating at full capacity," said Teofil Campean, general manager of Rondocarton. The overall production capacity is of 60,000 tonnes a year, but the new plant will only produce 40,000 tonnes of corrugated cardboard a year. Specialised equipment has been acquired for the production facility in Targoviste, which will be used in the production of special cardboards for the car industry.
