Sensiblu expands to rural areas

10.10.2006, 19:53 7

Drugstore network Sensiblu, part of the A&D Pharma group, has opened its first rural drugstore in Crasna, Gorj county. The commune has over 5,000 inhabitants as well as three doctors that can issue prescriptions for subsidised drugs at the two clinics in the commune. "It is a known fact that 50% of Romania's population lives in rural areas, which makes it an attractive market to any investor and can generate significant revenue. At the same time, however, the rural population lacks a developed infrastructure, pharmaceutical and medical services. After the EU integration, significant funds will be allocated to the development of infrastructure, which will lead to an increase in the number of investors in these areas," said Laura Florea, Corporate Affairs Director of A&D Pharma.
