Distribution and logistics company Whiteland, which includes companies such as Meggle, Campina, Hochland and Reinert among its suppliers, will complete an investment worth over 6 million euros in a logistics centre in Bucharest this year, and in relocating its plant, which produces its own sauce brand, from Copsa Mica to Medias. George Stefanescu, general manager of Whiteland Sales & Marketing, says new names could be added to the company's list of suppliers in 2008. "The investment in the new logistics centre in Bucharest, which will be completed at the end of this year, provides us with the possibility of expanding our client portfolio. Lately, local producers have registered increasingly high production volumes, so we are focussing in this direction, but there is also demand from international producers and retail chains," said Stefanescu. Investments in building a logistics centre in Bucharest, close to Whiteland's headquarters, are estimated to be worth 5 million euros.
