Mivan to open Liberty Center in Bucharest at the end of this week

Mivan Development will open Liberty Center shopping centre in Bucharest at the end of this week, in the wake of investments worth 70m euros, with the available 25,000 square metre area rented out, Collier International real estate services firm announced on Monday. The shopping centre, which will open on Friday, is located in the southwestern area of Bucharest. Liberty Center has a 25,000 square metre lettable area, structured on three levels, which totals 100 spaces for rent. Tenants include Austria's Hervis sporting goods retailer, present for the first time in Bucharest, as well as Marks & Spencer, Next, Reserved, Cropp Town, Sprider, Altex/Media Galaxy and Billa supermarket. The food court area includes restaurants and coffee shops such as Starbucks, Burger King, McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut and Asia. The complex will also include a 3D wholly digital cinema and the first indoor skating rink in a Bucharest mall. Mivan Group is a major international constructions and real estate development firm, with offices in the United Kingdom, Europe, the US, and the Middle and Far East. In Romania, it has been operating since 1998, as part of the Mivan-Kier joint venture and has finalised a 140m-dollar project, as part of the Social Housing and Water Supply Programme of Romania's Government.
